Imagination Stage Memorial Scholarship

To honor the legacy of Jonathan Kirby, a passionate musician and educator, we have set up an endowed scholarship in perpetuity in his name for the benefit of his beloved musical theatre program Imagination Stage. An unforgettable member of the theatre community, Jonathan was the composer and music director for the “Speak Out On Stage” ensemble, where students spend a year creating an original musical on a theme that is important to them. During Jonathan’s time there, he composed music for shows on compelling student-chosen themes, including anti-bullying, the importance of strong friendships, using your voice for change, women in STEM, diversity and representation, among others. He was also a beloved instructor of Imagination Stage’s summer program, where he taught music classes and served as the music director for student productions.

His wife, Madeline, his family and friends, and Imagination Stage are so grateful for your contribution, and for keeping his memory and his music alive.
